We started our business in 2022 with a particular goal in mind: providing a unique dining experience in Alamosa. Our Story
The Friar’s Fork was founded by husband and wife team, Denise Vigil and Nealson Vialpando. Denise has 30 years of experience in the hospitality/restaurant industry and paired with Nealson's ability to build about anything, this dream at last is a reality. The Friar's Fork & Sanctuary was created in the footprint of the former historic St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Alamosa and is the ideal building and location! The Friar's Fork serves Italian/Mediterranean Cuisine with the Sanctuary being an upscale cocktail lounge & coffee house. It's a place where people from all over the San Luis Valley can meet to enjoy our tasty dishes and comfortable atmosphere. The Friar's Fork mission is to be a blessing to it's employees and the guests we serve.
